We also detected a strong Japanese element in her works, as if Karen (a decidedly cheerful person) wanted to give us small pictorial haikus in which the poetry is conveyed not by three-line compositions, but by lines and color juxtapositions that convey sensory images (an oxymoron, in our opinion, perfect for these "fragments of the self").
